This monastery is a fantastic architectural work located in the municipality of Santiponce, very close to the city of Seville. This monastery was founded in 1301 by Alonso Perez de Guzman, founders of the House of Medina Sidonia, as a family pantheon and as a testimony of their piety. This monastery was expanded over the years, forming the great temple of today.

The visiting hours of the Monastery of San Isidro are as follows:

From January 1 to June 30 and from September 1 to December 31: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 10:00 to 15:00 (last pass 14:00)*; Friday, Saturday from 10:00 to 19:00 (last pass 18:00)*; Sundays and holidays from 10:00 to 14:30.

5. Caminito del Rey (King’s Little Path)

Caminito del Rey is a walkway in the walls of the canyon of Los Gaitanes between the municipalities of Ardales, Alora and Antequera in the province of Malaga, Andalusia, Spain. It is a footbridge of more than 3 km (plus 4.8 km of access) clinging to the rocks inside the canyon, partly only 1 m wide, suspended from a vertical wall 105 m high above the river.

It can be an excellent plan if you are looking for an adventure, while discovering sites and caves, thousands of years old. If you want to visit this incredible place, you can buy tickets through this link.

6. Riotinto mines

Traveling through the Riotinto mining basin in Huelva is a unique experience that places us in the past, enjoying landscapes that seem to be from another planet.

Enjoy landscapes reminiscent of Mars, get on a 19th century train, marvel at the colors of a unique river thanks to the presence of metals such as copper and iron.

Undoubtedly, the Riotinto mining railroad is the number one tourist attraction. It was formerly used as a working tool and the track was directly connected to the port of Huelva.

You can enjoy an excellent day enjoying these peculiar landscapes, and enjoying the history explained in its museum.

7. Doñana National and Natural Park

Doñana National Park is the most important wetland in Spain and the entire European continent.

Covering the provinces of Huelva and Seville, since 1969 it has protected a series of ecosystems represented by the Guadalquivir Marshes. Millions of migratory birds arrive every year to these latitudes, which border the Atlantic Ocean, since Doñana is a wintering, passage and breeding area for hundreds of species that survive thanks to its conservation.

A privileged location in southern Europe, very close to Africa, makes this corner of Andalusia a natural paradise with a precious biodiversity.

The national park is home to unique species, some of them endangered, such as the Iberian lynx and the Iberian emperor eagle. We recommend you to visit it if you want to enjoy a unique natural landscape during your visit to Seville.
